About This Place

Tucked in the heart of Ashland, MA, Erica’s Ristorante offers an authentic and inviting Italian dining experience that masterfully blends traditional flavors with contemporary finesse. From the moment you step into their beautifully appointed dining room or opt for the more energetic bar area, you are greeted by the tantalizing aromas of fresh herbs, simmering sauces, and artisan-crafted dishes that promise a memorable meal.

Erica’s specializes in a diverse range of Italian classics, each prepared with a delicate balance of robust flavors and refined technique. Start your culinary journey with their popular starters like the Parmesan-Crusted Cauliflower, crisped to golden perfection with a savory, cheesy crust, or the Crostini topped with rich, fresh ingredients that awaken your palate. For a perfect bite of comfort and tradition, the Meatballs, tender and flavored deeply with herbs and spices, are a must-try at just $5.95.

When it comes to entrées, Erika’s Ristorante truly shines. The Milanese, with its perfectly breaded cutlet, offers a satisfying crunch paired with tender, juicy meat underneath. Seafood lovers will be drawn to the Pan-Roasted Cod, cooked with a delicate touch that preserves its natural flavors, or the Seafood Puttanesca, a dish bursting with briny, vibrant Mediterranean notes. The Chicken Piccata, kissed with lemon and capers, reveals an ideal harmony of tang and warmth. Vegetarian options like the Stacked Eggplant and Risotto with Broccolini, Zucchini & Summer Squash showcase the kitchen’s ability to create dishes that celebrate fresh, seasonal produce with finesse.

Of course, no Italian meal is complete without pasta, and Erica’s offers an irresistible lineup. The Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli is decadently filled and lavishly sauced, a real treat for seafood aficionados. For a more rustic option, the Orecchiette with Sausage delivers hearty, satisfying flavors paired with perfectly cooked pasta, while the Spinach & Goat Cheese Ravioli offers a bright, tangy contrast to the rich fillings and sauces. Classics like Spaghetti Carbonara and Spaghetti with Meatballs bring that comforting, nostalgic vibe — robust, flavorful, and beautifully plated.

Regular diners rave about the warm, relaxed atmosphere, where you never feel rushed. As Serene Sandy put it, the staff’s kindness and hospitality shine through, creating a space where you can unwind and truly savor your dinner—even staying past closing without pressure. Hannah Stein’s glowing Valentine’s Day experience highlights Erica’s flair for special occasions, where every dish feels like a celebration worthy of Michelin-star recognition. Other guests have noted the attentive and friendly service, with bartenders going the extra mile to ensure your drink is perfect and your needs are met swiftly.

While some have experienced a slight delay in food arrival, the consensus is that the exceptional taste and quality more than make up for it. Whether sharing a hearty lasagna, praised for its generous portions and rich flavors, or enjoying perfectly cooked grilled salmon, Erica’s delivers dishes that spark joy and satisfy cravings.

Erica’s Ristorante is more than just a meal — it’s a special occasion, a cozy date night, or a joyous family gathering all wrapped in the flavors and traditions of Italy. This was a such a quaint and relaxing restaurant. My friend and I arrived at 7 and had a reservation, although we may not have needed one, as we arrived on a weekday. We ended up staying a little bit after closing time, but we weren't rushed out or pushed at all, which was so kind. Their drinks were good, and their food was rather good, although my risotto needed a little more seasoning, even though the cheese and risotto proportions were reasonable. The staff was very sweet, and the food came out well-timed. The creme brulee was really good, and the crab cakes were as well. There was free parking across the street, and some free street parking as well.

UPDATE: 2/14/24 Just had the most AMAZING dinner at Erica’s for Valentine’s Day. Honestly, the special dinners here are UNBELIEVABLE! I hope they will start to do this more often-Michelin Star here we come! Wow! What can I say? I love Erica’s! So many wonderful dishes to choose from - the apps are all fantastic, the bar is wonderful and speedy, and the entrees are amazing! Tonight we had salmon, expertly cooked with wonderful, fluffy mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. Everything was PERFECT! On other evenings I have tried the cod-crazy good; the lasagna-holy cow!; and the specials are always intriguing and delicious! If you save room for dessert, I highly recommend the cupcakes (any variety), the tarts (my favorites), or the key lime pie (house made and fantastic). I do not usually write reviews, but if you have not been to Erica’s, plan an evening there! You will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed dinner at Erica’s with my family. While the food took a bit long to arrive, it was delicious. The bar area, with TVs on the walls, seemed more lively than the dining area where we were seated. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of the long wait time.

Owners Sam and his Executive Chef wife, Erica have taken the restaurant industry to a new level. From the superbly crafted cocktails to the exceptionally polished menu, there is something for everyone. Great place for a date or for family fun- As you sit in the beautifully appointed dining room, or if you choose to sit in the more lively bar area, your nose will be attacked by glorious aromas emanating from the kitchen. The servers are attentive yet unobtrusive. Barpersons reign supreme. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would -thank you very much. Bravo and Buon Appetito!

Erica's was great! There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu but ultimately we got the grilled salmon and the lasagna. Both were awesome! The lasagna was a huge portion and tasted delicious! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the waitress was very attentive. The bartender was great as well. When the waitress was busy he brought my drinks right to the table and made a point to ask how we were enjoying our night out. The waitress called me by name and thanked us for coming in even though we were very late. Having worked in the restaurant industry in the past I always feel guilty dining close to closing time but they didn't make us feel rushed in any way and were very accommodating. I worked late that evening and it was our anniversary so we wanted to have a nice dinner and Erica's provided that even at a later hour. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be back soon!

Fantastic meal! This area doesn't have lots of options for dinner and finding Gluten free options is tough. So sad to hear Erica's is closing. Many great dinners, family birthday celebrations and quick appetizers here over the years. Best wishes to all.
